Player abilities

  • Every ability is usable right from the start.
  • The Usage of any ability drains water from the storage.
  • The draining effect will reach a quick peak and fade out from that.
  • Every ability has multiple effects based on their target (context sensitive magic)
  • Targets: 1. Self,  2. other players(same effect as self), other obstacles (doors, traps, enemies)
  • These effects stack!!! A level one boost may make you run faster, but a level three boost may teleport you giving you the chance to cross a gap
  • Ultimate multiplayer stacking. You may only stack up to level 3, but if serveral players stack their skills on one teammate, they could even reach level 9 in a four player party.
  • This naturally is a way of sharing water with your teammates, since skills cost water.
  • There are four skills , which are sorted by body part:
  1. head > awareness (see the way better, find the next oasis, see hidden graves, basically discovering more)
  2. body > defense (get less distracted by enemies, test traps, basically playing the game safe)
  3. hands > offense (push your targets our of your way. The offensive variant of playing)
  4. legs > speed (faster movement or reactions, travel and explore faster)

Movement ability

  • Player
  • -Level 01: increases your speed and jumping heighth
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03: clicking will teleport you to your cursor for the duration of the effects?
  • Environment/Enemies
  • -Level 01: slows down enemy or trap movement
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03: stuns/freezes enemies?

Awareness ability

  • Player
  • -Level 01: increases your sight range and highlights points of interest
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03:
  • Environment/Enemies
  • -Level 01: copy the enemies/objects appearance and be invisible
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03:

Defensive ability

  • Player
  • -Level 01: gives you a decoy that runs into a direction to test possible traps
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03:
  • Environment/Enemies
  • -Level 01: Ban circle?
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03:

Offensive/ interaction ability – manipulates enemies and objects with force

  • Player
  • -Level 01: Enhance the item you carry or the basic attack
  • -Level 02:

  • Environment/Enemies
  • -Level 01: Maybe fear them and make them flee?
  • -Level 02:
  • -Level 03:
